Radio silence Ever smashed into a wall you didn’t build? Ever been assaulted with a weapon you would never wield? Ever been ignored by all the players in the field? No home to rest the soul One of “them” gone bad and we hate all of their guts One of “us” gone bad ensures that they hate all of us It’s a vicious cycle that is never going to stop That’s one thing that I know Big or small, some or all Cycles of hate are gonna be our downfall Amidst all hollow calls Radio silence once and for all The tongue is so much faster than the mind Staggering and fumbling in the dark deaf dumb and blind Are the voices of the millions that may never realize What it is they’re fighting for Raised fists and angry lines don’t reconcile And it feels like there is no need for another rally cry To reaffirm division and to magnify the lines That run between us all Big or small, some or all Cycles of hate are gonna be our downfall Amidst all hollow calls Radio silence once and for all “You’re not one of us” it said The silent mantra that’s carved in stone in our heads And on its leash this is where we have been led A desolate plain at sunset Sides squaring off like the parted red sea Ready to come crashing down on everything that’s in between We’ll be swept away and we’ll never again be seen On this dark and misty road When truths meet then you know there’s war at hand A storm is raging furiously in the promised land And the blood is streaming like a ruby river of the damned That makes the Dead Sea overflow Big or small, some or all Cycles of hate are gonna be our downfall Amidst all hollow calls Radio silence once and for all…

Halos 04:49
HALOS When there’s so much strife and doing wrong there’s one thing we can depend on Denial of our connection that over time has come undone It’s like the power of the sun: self-sustaining operation With blindfolds on and conviction, a policy of hit and run A strange feeling suddenly came over me as he smiled and shook his head The way he looked at him… a hidden agenda crossed his plan Is there anybody out there, someone who really cares? Someone with power and vision and a war to declare It’s such an endless charade A campaign funded by hate It could well be much too late For redirecting our fate Why are we so afraid To take the smallest of blames? No one knows who cast the first stone So all have halos… Can’t explain this interrelation, diplomacy and aggression In eternal contradiction, and bound by law and convention With hands firmly on the button, watching the other’s expression And through the smiles we might be stunned to witness our own reflections Am I ever gonna find it or should I realize I got to accept the impossible I’m sick and tired of all this talk about justice, who’s in control? But I think I found a way today, yeah I really think I found a way To handle trust I’ll clear my mind and question you until I’ll fucking die It’s such an endless charade A campaign funded by hate It could well be much too late For redirecting our fate Why are we so afraid To take the smallest of blames? No one knows who cast the first stone So all have halos… And we see biblical prediction reaching surgical precision Mankind’s final destination, some say the son of god will come No redeeming left to be done, we all have found our salvation In hands washed clean of suspicion are a bloody knife and a smoking gun I’m feeling disillusioned as I’m walking down that road I switch my TV on and see another story left untold It’s what it is, it has come to this, there’s more to spill You don’t believe in murder but you’re going for the kill… It’s such an endless charade A campaign funded by hate It could well be much too late For redirecting our fate Why are we so afraid To take the smallest of blames? No one knows who cast the first stone So all have halos…

My Reaction 02:56
My reaction There’s a black day coming soon, no need to cry or deny, it’s cool Don’t have to preach to the converted or to rally up more souls It’s a rollercoaster ride my friend, we’re moving forward but going back I used to feel it was up to me but this time it feels so old I’ll introduce you to a friend of mine It’s my reaction It’s just reflection of ourselves There’s no perfection The are just some things we can’t help And one of them seems to be This deep and human need for self-destruction Move on, get that groove on, feel that blue note Let that mood swing, make the kill The lips seem to be working but the mind just feels so numb My emotions are overfloating but I know now where we’re going I want to watch from a safe distance then just turn my back and run I’ll introduce you to the end of time It’s my reaction It’s just reflection of ourselves There’s no perfection The are just some things we can’t help And one of them seems to be This deep and human need for self-destruction No need to worry please, enjoy your ride, enjoy your destiny There’s no way out of this, you can’t stop it, you’re a part of it I’ll introduce you to a common crime It’s my reaction It’s just reflection of ourselves There’s no perfection The are just some things we can’t help And one of them seems to be This deep and human need for self-destruction

Bad Plan 02:26
BAD PLAN Saw it coming but never put an effort in trying to prevent It all coming untied and bursting at the seams Save for a vain attempt at calming the senses So within reach but elusive like a dream We’re in trouble It’s such a sad end We’re in the rubble Of a bad plan Of a self-made catastrophe Of a self-made mound of adversity Our lineage but a minute in the global agenda But we never watched the time so we never took heed Naturally assuming we would live far beyond midnight Our darkest time could be the last that we see We’re in trouble It’s such a sad end We’re in the rubble Of a bad plan Of a self-made catastrophe Of a self-made mound of adversity Apologising doesn’t do any good if you don’t know whom it’s to Should we turn to God or turn to our fellow man Or is it wiser to not even bother asking the question And just apologise to our ourselves…

about

Bitter Grounds Netherlands

Bitter Grounds delivers a unique mixture of high energy punk rock and raw, pounding ska songs. Dynamic, alternating dual vocals, in-your-face guitars, edgy solos and pumping bass and drums complete the gritty picture. Lyrically the band doesn’t subscribe to any particular world-view. Independent in the truest sense, the band doesn’t conform to anything or anyone. ... more
